Tricksters (this was typed up single spaced. paragraph breaks. The woman who said I should present poems more poetically? It’s not for want of trying).

Anger is a prison. So is snow. Beautiful and deadly.

Covid is a prison. Isolation is responsible. It too can kill you.

Fear is a prison. And worry. Totally unproductive. Run rampant, they can kill you.

Anger can be marshalled into action. Snow can be sculpted into words.

We have vaccines now, and solitude is soulful.

Bury your fear and worry in the snow. So deeply, they will suffocate,

still crying out for anger.

this morning’s front yard cherry buried in the snow. Mr. Plow decided it was a good idea to push the excess on our property. As I was writing letter to development manager, I was kind, yet firm. And I see how fear and worry look for support from anger, and all 3 are bad news, really, so rarely helpful…
view from road (someone will come remove the excess snow, when they’re done plowing. The onus shouldn’t be on us)
