Animals are pure in their intention. Some people think their cruelty is cleverness. The boy who stomps the worms to death, when questioned, has no idea why. Because he can? Because it’s ‘fun’? Because he’s bigger and has power over them? Helpless innocents who cannot run away. What right have we to kill them?
