Went to visit Bella and Buzz and their new brood of 8 (resident Heron is trying to eat the cygnets. Very Big Heron. Bella came with blood on her, successfully protected all her babies ~ she is a force to be better left alone.

Bella and brood after scuffle

Scooping up some Water Chestnut at the pond, after my visit with Bella, Buzz and babies, a rusty fish hook embedded in my thumb (Doug always says, “No good deed goes unpunished” and I never understood that, but I do now).

Everyone says they clean up properly, but somebody doesn’t (i brought it home in a vial, lol)
Beauty is the antidote (one of my gardens, all 4 sides of the house are full now)
