Morning Musings
Good morning my friends! It’s been raining since, well, all weekend. I didn’t go out in it at all yesterday, Doug had a rare day off and we watched a sad yet uplifting movie about an angry black man (and so very much to be angry about) and a well to do white woman slowly becoming the best of friends. I will never understand the hatred and abuse towards people of color (there were parts I had to cover my eyes). I will never understand how the people who treat other people worse than insects can lift themselves up as “supreme”. Over what? Even insects have a better moral code, from what I can gather. On that cheery note, it’s still dark and dismal and if one person says, “Happy Memorial Day” to me I might just go combustible. Is it a happy day? It is for those selling cars on TV, apparently, and that is wrong on so many levels, like bunnies and Easter, we have watered down and bastardized our meaningful commemorations so they look nothing like their beginnings. I’m stopping now, it must be the darkness, getting to me.
Let’s not believe in war.
