Leveling the Playing Field

My mind was a spider monkey. Un-tame-able, unruly. I tried to sit it down and gentle it. It seemed hopeless, I got frustrated. I have trained my mind, calmly and surely, painstakingly, to be a bridge, not a weapon. I have no interest in making you feel bad, look small, so I can seem superior. No One Is Superior. I might need to repeat that for the skeptics. No One Is Superior. Not money, education, race, class, opportunity, intelligence, connections, can make you one iota more superior.
So use your mind, not as a weapon but a bridge, and see what you might have in common with the stranger you despise. Look at your prejudice and judge-ment, you have time now. It’s time to level the playing field. Tear down the walls. Us is Them and Them is Us. No one chooses sides. We are all on the same team.
America was great when she led from integrity. When she decided from her heart, what was best for her people, for all people. Throwing those who displease you under the careening bus is not Greatness. It’s pettiness and fear, fueled by greed and ignorance. We can, and must, do better. We, the People, demand honesty and respect, and an atmosphere of inclusion. If wealth is the only goal of life, we will all die, starving.
