Kill the Messenger

Jesus was a revolutionary.
His message was hard to hear,
so the messenger was killed.
Over and over, we murder our
enlightened, unwilling to believe.
Afraid to change, we put our best
to death, justified. In the name
of justice, bastardized.
True justice serves to uphold,
uplift. True justice is born of
Wisdom and Compassion, the
lovechild of Freedom.
It would not think to crucify,
that which gave it life.
