That a merciful goodness

A Generosity of Spirit
What is prayer, but a tender opening.
A trusting receptivity. A careful
listening. Show me the way.
After all my finagling falls flat in
failure. All my helpfulness only hurts.
All my ministrations make things
worse. Show me the way.
