The earth bears secrets

If you listen carefully

You can hear her weep

Poor orphan baby in the gross water chestnut pond (William’s grandbaby, his parents chased away, the young ones can’t fly yet so they’re stuck in the persecution (William defending his own offspring in his won territory, will make no room for interlopers, genetics or not). It was heartbreaking, as I loved them all and was stuck squarely in the middle. Both sets of juveniles survived and flew off to better, i hope, parts. Swans are graceful and lovely and beautiful but they will without mercy kill what threatens them
