Fascinating, thank you! I think about this issue quite a bit. I don’t remember a lot of childhood for good reason, but recently was down South where I’ve never been (60 years now) and looked down at the brick steps in my brother-in-laws home and said, “That’s the company my daddy hauled bricks for when I was little!” and checked with my older brother and it was!
