Dig Your Own Well

I dug my own well to get water. Dug it with my own hands, clawed the clay bloody with the strength of my own fingers, the power of my own will and never stopped through the pain, though the pain was mighty. Never stopped through the sorrow, though the heartbreak seemed unbearable. Never stopped through the doubt, though the work seemed quite worthless. Never stopped through the loneliness, though I’ve often felt alone.

And I found water, and it is good; sharing it even better. Pointing the way, so you can find it yourself. I’m not saying it will come easy, or quickly, or you’ll feel like digging deeper. I’m just saying that it’s worth it (quite possibly the most important work you’ll ever do). It won’t make you any money, but it will surely make you rich.
