Couple-hood

Eternally grafted, deliberately yoked, together forever; even death doesn’t part us. We are one among many and many as one. Our children are from us and of us but not us: let’s hope they don’t become us, let’s hope they soar above us, and over us and take and use the best of us to find a new and better way.

Our triumphs and failures, our best and our worst, our past and our future, woven as one. Love never lost us, death cannot part us, time can’t undo us. Alone yet together, one among many and many as one.
