Common Ground

Standing in the shoes of humanity, an “influencer”, a do-gooder, or just another bozo on the bus, am I really so different from the rest of you? Am I so high and mighty that I could not murder? Is my heart so innocent, I could never hurt on purpose?

I often say I prefer animals to people. It’s the wordless communication which appeals to me. I love silence and words. Space and connection. Action and contemplation. Reading and writing. A long time lover of light, I am learning to appreciate the blessings of darkness. Learning to not pit one against the other. Learning to embrace both. Never a fan of politics or organized religion, entrenched ideology disturbs me. I like to sit where the river runs through it.
