Here’s why I prayed Bella&Buzz would leave for safer, cleaner waters (this perennially invasive Water Chestnut can *not* be gotten rid of. Who can live here, besides the snapping turtles who kill the cygnets every year?

The restaurant pond, the swan in flight is being chased by Bully the Alpha male, self-appointed King. It doesn’t know me and when I approached with a friendly greeting it fled quickly, lol. Have never had a swan frightened by the sight of me, I think it must be Clyde from across the road at the Grist Mill. Bonnie came with, she’s way on the right, wisely hiding.
Lots of people find Canada Geese a messy menace, but I love them. Such characters. I haven’t been to the pond in ages but there’s always one goose who digs me, and gets right up in my face with that, “What’s in the bag, lady?” look, cracks me up!
