Better Left Forgotten? My Lyme experience in July, 2012

This Lyme Disease is kicking my butt. It’s hard to see progress because the cure mimics the disease (I adore irony but 2 days ago, I was not in the least amused). The period before the next antibiotic dosage usually brings on a headache, some nausea (toxins are being eliminated. It’s not a pretty process). The night before last, I waited a bit because I didn’t want to throw up and waste the pill, but felt like I could handle it. Wrong. I threw up the most caustic, nasty, vile bile ever, but then had to re-take the pill! Nothing in my stomach, hadn’t eaten enough to begin with, and verging on dehydration my husband says, “You might need to be in the hospital you know?” I am very stubborn (no really?) and I don’t want to be in the hospital. But when I tried even a sip of water it made me queasy again. And my poor teeth are terrible enough, (I was once bulimic), now they are coated in acid! eewww (I held a mouth of milk, to calm them. You can’t have milk with the pill as it interferes with absorption. It’s all a big pain, but I’ll be most grateful for my health, returned). Last night went well, I’m happy to report. I ate and drank during the day, and a sweet friend brought me strawberry frozen fruit bars, ginger ale, soup and crackers! We are finally scheduled for a bit of rain. I’ll be out there dancing in it (I must stay out of the sun. No sun for the light lover. Hrrmph). Thanks for listening! Be well, my friends.

William&Angel, July 2012, gross water. I couldn’t visit them for a bit… The Lyme was successfully cured, I am forever grateful.
