An early morning epiphany

I snipped Maxie some glorious Willow, and I saw the poison ivy, and usually ask for protection but, ur, I forgot. I have a big bubble on my pinkie finger, and two bumps on my face which I’v contained. This morning I pressed the bubble into the green heart which I hold every morning, pushing the poison back into my body to be absorbed and rendered harmless. The venom, which would wreak havoc everywhere on the outside, is now powerless. And isn’t that what Jesus did? And isn’t that what we were asked to do with our whacky neighbor? Take it in and dilute it. Don’t just rise above it. Transform it.

This day last year, ‘shedding’ Maxie (she doesn’t care for brushes, so use chamomile tea, the fur comes right off in my hand).
