Agreed, Jonathan! We must teach our children, young and early, to resolve what's troubling them (and us), without threat or shame or embarrassment. I remember when our son was young, maybe 7, and there was a dispute with some of his neighbor friends and I held a tribunal, and let each boy render his story and we decided on an outcome. It was a great process and they loved it, because a lot of adults don't let children speak their heartfelt truth. And I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday so this truly is memorable!
