a medium question

I’ve sent friends over here to see something and they’ve reported that they can’t see anything unless they sign up or sign in or do some app thing or other (which is coercion and they don’t like that and I don’t blame them) and while I was tempted to think they’re behind the times and don’t know how to do it right now I’m thinking that all this time, no one can see anything and that would make me slightly disgruntled. Does anyone know what the policy is? And why, now, when I could care less, am I able to single space when for years I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t figure out how to do it? Have I fallen down some strange Twilight Zone hole or what?
