A Challenging Outing
Something’s wrong with my camera, (maybe the battery), all the pics I thought would be fabulous are blurry and because of the sudden ice, I went to a hard for humans to get in and out of place and my big stick broke in two and my leg went in. Lucky there isn’t snow and I had an extra sock, it all worked out but the water is cold and still smelly, oddly enough. The kids are going to have to handle the walking on ice lesson, at some point, they didn’t even want to push through the thin layer to come to me. “It only gets worse from here” was my cheery greeting (but hey, I had a cold boot full of brackish water). All in a day’s work (the big excitement was the swan couple circling, about 4 times, looking to land, before they decided otherwise, thankfully (it’s fuzzy but you can tell they’re swans, lol)
